Role: Synthetic Chemist

Location: In-person at Xatoms Lab, University of Toronto Mississauga Campus
Job Type: Full-Time

About Us

Xatoms is an innovative Canadian startup from the University of Toronto at the intersection of AI, quantum chemistry, and material discovery. Our mission is to revolutionize water purification technology, focusing on creating advanced, eco-friendly solutions for global water challenges. At Xatoms, we harness the power of cutting-edge quantum chemistry simulations and AI algorithms to innovate new materials capable of purifying polluted water. We are backed by AWS, UNESCO, IRCAI (International Research Center of AI), and 776 Climate Fellowship.

Position Scope

We are seeking a highly motivated Synthetic Chemist to join Xatoms. This individual will be instrumental in synthesizing and developing novel photocatalytic materials (inorganic), from molecular precursors to functional catalysts with the Xatoms team. The role is hands-on and requires full-time, in-person work at our laboratory located on the University of Toronto Mississauga campus (UTM).
